Raised by an accountant father and a nurse mother, one taught me the value of financial organization, while the other the importance of good health. Surprisingly, it was my mother who inspired me to become a financial planner back in 1998. She is a hospice nurse, and has helped hundreds of people, and their families, in their last days. She has seen people die with nobility and grace, as well as with fear and regret.
As a financial planner I help my clients clarify (and sometimes discover) their closest values, and then help them align their values with their money, and their time. My mom’s patients who live the fullest lives, and die with dignity and grace, all have achieved the alignment of their money and their values.
I believe financial planning helps people live more intentional, meaningful, and significant lives. And a smart, simple, and relevant financial plan can improve everyone’s life.
